I took this picture a few days ago. I was wondering do roosters normally like the nesting boxes as well as the hens do? This was late afternoon and I noticed Pearl was on the roost put Pop wasn't. It may just be his favorite spot. I've come in from work a couple of nights and peeked in on them, he was on the edge of that same nesting box like it was his perch.
Here's Pop and Pearl ready to call it a night. He's usually in the hen house before 7 p.m.I noticed today they were"panting" I guess you'd call it and had their wings out a little. I'd say they were hot. I put a frozen 1/2 gallon jug in their water bowl today to help them out a bit.
